Greetings! It certainly has been a busy time for us all, between the Bridal show, various seminars, and the upcoming SWPPA/TPPA convention. As you can see your Board Members have also been busy with several items of interest: new rules for the Print Competition and membership, several great speakers are booked for the coming months, and we will finally have bylaws completed in the next few months. Also, we are excited to announce that Lori Luza is working on our website!
We will next meet on Tuesday, February 5th at Micheal Bobinski’s studio:
Bluefish Photography
4058 Hwy 6 South, Suite 200
behind Oakwood Homes on the bypass
6:30pm – social
6:45pm – print competition
7:00pm – meeting
We welcome our speaker, Charles Parish of San Antonio, who’s program is on the business of photography.
Sincerely,
Daniela Weaver

It’s that time…
Renew your membership to the BVPPA by February 29th and receive one FREE Guest Pass!
Join for $100 per year, $75 for spouse. Fees due in January with no pro ration. Of course, spouses and family are welcome for social occasions. At General Meetings, guests pay $10 first time, $25 on 2nd and subsequent times.
Membership is limited to professional photographers with business license or Tax ID. When joining and renewing, one of these must be presented to show proof as a professional photographer. Guests do not have to present proof, just members.
Print competition format and system is to be changed, to encourage more members to participate and allow those who do participate to be critiqued and improve their skills.

There were many Brazos Valley Professional Photographers at the SWPPA Convention in Arlington. Has everyone recovered from the huge lineup of speakers, 6:30am to 11:00pm? What an awesome convention! In case you missed it, our own Doug Box had a completely captive audience at his informative and entertaining seminar on off camera lighting.
