General Meeting Minutes: February 10th, 2010
Time and Location: 7:00pm College Station Conference Center
Present: Kathy Norwood, Cindy Kovar, Daniela Weaver, Nichole Franzetti, Lawrence Matus, Dennis Grimes, Karen Parks, Dara May Neyland, Karen’s son and girlfriend, Doug and LaVelda Box
Absent: Kelvin Morrison, Derek Henson
Others Present: Margaret Bryant
Proceedings:
- Meeting called to order at 6:45 by Karen Parks
- President’s Report-Karen had nothing to report
- Vice President’s Report-Derek was absent
- Treasurer’s Report- Cindy is taking care of the taxes for the 2009 year
- Secretary’s Report-Nothing to report at this time
- Announcements and Other Business-Daniela Weaver introduced our speaker
- Doug Box spoke about the benefits of being part of a local guild and that we will also receive monies for helping to recruit people into our guild.
- Actions taken: None at this time
- Tabled Issues
- Speaker Presentation: Margaret Bryant spoke on Pet Photography and dog behavior. We had two persons bring in their dogs-Mandy LaCombe brought in her dog Onyx who is a service dog and Karen’s son brought in his dog for Margaret to work with.
- Competition Print Results:
o 8×10 Category 1st place Daniela Weaver with Ready to Roll, 2nd place-Dennis Grimes with They Don’t Pay Enough and 3rd place-Dennis Grimes with Lake Point #1
o 16×20 Category 1st place Kathy Norwood with Reservoir Dogs
- Meeting adjourned at 9:30pm
Future Business: Meeting will be held on Tuesday March 9th, 2010 and the speaker is Don Carico of Lakewood Photography.
